History

Since 2011, it was rumored several times that apple was going to release something that is wearable. On February 10, 2013, the two magazines, New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, officially announced that apple is working on developing a smartwatch; a project the involved the work of 100 designers. In September 9, 2014, the apple watch was unveiled for the first time during a press event that was initially dedicated to introducing the iPhone 6. Tim Cook, Apple CEO, described it as "a new, intimate way to communicate from your wrist, and a comprehensive health and fitness device." It includes fitness tracking and health-oriented and was officially released on April 24, 2014.
