History

Since 2011, it was rumored several times that apple was going to release something that is wearable. On February 10, 2013, the two magazines, New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, officially announced that apple is working on developing a smartwatch; a project the involved the work of 100 designers. In September 9, 2014, the apple watch was unveiled for the first time during a press event that was initially dedicated to introducing the iPhone 6. Tim Cook, Apple CEO, described it as "a new, intimate way to communicate from your wrist, and a comprehensive health and fitness device." It includes fitness tracking and health-oriented and was officially released on April 24, 2014.

  • It uses a linear actuator called the "Taptic Engine", this provides haptic feedback when an alert or a notification is received.

- Great Fitness & Health Feature: there is a sensor that can track the steps and heart rate of the person, whether he/she is running, walking, or even standing. It also suggests recommended and customized exercises.

it is the dial on the side of the watch, which allows wearers to correctly select interface icon and scroll through elements considering the small screen given.

- Various Apple Variants:
there are several models to satisfy different tastes, so people are not limited to buying only one model.

Disadvantages

>>> Apple Watch is Ridiculously Expensive: its price can reach up to $17,00 and therefore not everyone is able to afford it. This is a bad thing considering that it is very practical for everyday use.

>>> Dependent on iPhone: without connecting your iPhone to the apple watch, you can basically only see the time and will not enjoy it’s several advantages. Therefore, only iPhone users can benefit from this watch. It is unfair to only have this option especially when some people are mac users, but don't own iPhones.

>>> You have to recharge it every night. This may eventually get annoying to do every single night, especially if someone falls asleep. It is also using a lot of electricity, assuming that you will have to charge your phone and laptop every night.

Apple Watch VS Normal Watch

The apple watch has a range in prices between $350 and $17,000. It may not always be as ridiculously expensive; sometimes it is the same price, and can be cheaper if you’re looking at buying a Rolex. It is also better in the sense that it is much more practical, it helps people care more about their health and can reduce the car accidents occurring due to texting or any phone activity while driving. These are options that the normal watch does not provide. This is like having a mini computer on your wrist that can provide you with various options throughout verbal interaction.
